Partied out, dudes: Wayne's World 2 has little of the freshness which made the original so endearingly amusing, and only one really funny scene - when Wayne and his friends break into an impromptu version of YMCA when trapped in a gay club by bad guy Christopher Walken. Mike Myers mugs madly as Wayne. Dana Carvey's Garth comes on as a wizened Norman Wisdom and is forced to act out coy sex comedy with Kim Basinger (who hits a career low here) in scenes which embarrass both of them. Spotting guest stars like Basinger, Drew Barrymore and Charlton Heston is, though, more fun than most of the script, which involves Wayne trying to organise a vast pop concert called Waynestock in which everyone proves supremely disinterested. It's all harmless fun, but here's a cult that was definitely on the Wayne.
