Vincent Price produces one of his lesser villains in this 19th century-set science-fiction adventure that combines two Jules Verne novels - Master of the World and Robur, the Conqueror. He's a crazed scientist holed up in the crater of a volcano, where he is building a flying ship so as to gain power over the whole world and destroy all its weapons of war (and thousands of people in the process). Charles Bronson is the stolid government agent sent to penetrate Price's lair. The story is rather disappointing, although there are some choice comic moments, the special effects are quite good and director William Witney has inserted some interesting stock footage of early powered flights.
