Former MGM Latin lover Ricardo Montalban does what he does best these days in this tepid crime drama - he plays an oily foreign crime boss. Montalban can do this sort of by-the-numbers role in his sleep, so is well suited to play alongside Burt Reynolds, as the ex-cop Stryker, who frequently looks and acts here as if he is in a daze. Undemanding TV movie fare for anyone who found Tom Selleck's infinitely superior Magnum series Mensa-level material.
