Tom Selleck moves away from his usually affable persona to play a tough and aggressive divorce lawyer whose own marriage winds up in the courts. The story is a neat idea that is let down somewhat by an indifferent script. Neither Selleck nor Jane Curtin, who plays his wife, are given well-drawn characters to portray, which makes it difficult to care much about their fate. A shame, as both stars work hard, and are backed up by a good cast that includes Charles Haid, Joan Bennett and Mimi Rogers. Enjoyable enough, but it could have been a whole lot better.
