Older cinemagoers who have seen The Giant Claw or The Flying Serpent will know what to expect from this piece of mumbo jumbo about a pterodactyl-type monster. Brought to life by an ancient Aztec prayer, it lays an egg in a feathery-looking tower and proceeds to pluck nubile maidens from every rooftop swimming pool and lilo in New York. All this is coupled with the story of a small-time crook (a busy, eye-catching performance by Michael Moriarty) who finds the creature's lair and feeds it the two associates menacing him for the diamonds he has lost after a robbery.
