A shallow, heavily clichéd treatment of the Carolyn Warmus murder case. Chris Sarandon gives one of his most wooden performances as the man sucked into a love affair which he is about to end when his wife is murdered. Even the fizzy Virginia Madsen is less lively than usual as the central figure in the affair, Sarandon's mistress, and is placed in some situations which severely dent her (and the film's) credibility. The shaky script and hasty treatment make this telemovie far less interesting than the headline stories on which it's based.
