This is a remake by director Jack Sholder of his Oscar-nominated short film on the Groundhog Day theme of a man trapped in a time warp, destined to live and re-live the same 24 hours. This time, however, the situation is played for thrills rather than laughs as energy research scientist Jonathan Silverman races against time to save the life of his girlfriend, who has just been shot. A B-movie adventure fantasy with likeable performances, this now seems little more than a rip-off of an original idea.
