Corbin Bernsen is typecast as Dr Stan Benderman, a charming, randy dentist, filling in his spare time as an adulterer and murderer. Even though Kelsey Grammer (Cheers, Frasier) co-stars, this based-on-fact story is no laughing matter. In the heat of passion, Bernsen admits to his wife, played by Markie Post, that he killed a man. Memories of unsolved murders stretching back 20 years flood into her mind, and terrified, she goes to the authorities. With his predilection for steamy sex and murder, plus a tarot reading mother who is also a shopfront psychic, it's not hard to see why Benderman's story provided ideal fodder for this made-for-TV movie. TRIVIA : Bernsen is almost certainly the only actor to have played a dentist in three different films, the others being the horror films The Dentist and The Dentist II.
