This anguished emotional drama, based on true events, is the stuff with which Bette Davis and Olivia de Havilland - with the help of a few more complications than those on show here - might have brought tears to our eyes. Under the sincere but limited guidance of Ann Jillian and Michele Greene, the tug on our heartstrings is less demanding, as they both find their expected babies threatened for different reasons, in a crisis that must bring them together for one of the infants to be saved.
