Dutch-born Famke Janssen, who shot to international prominence as Xenia Onatopp - the villain's right hand woman who could crush a British agent to death between her thighs - in the James Bond movie Goldeneye, had previously been bogged down in rubbish like this assembly-line action thriller. But with Shannon Tweed as co-star and fellow Z-movie star Sean Young fighting for footage, you just know before a single frame has run that we're in the bargain basement of entertainment. Janssen is a glamorous catwalk model who also has a black belt in martial arts. When a friend suffers terrible injuries in a car-jacking attack, super-model decides to take matters into her own hands by donning a mask and turning into crimefighting superwoman 'Lady X'. Based on a comic strip by Kevin Taylor, this is two-dimensional fare, as satisfying as next-day pizza.
