A violent and disturbing thriller whose musical interludes are singularly ill-fitting in such an unpleasant saga - about a boy who spends time in a hospital for the criminally insane after being framed on a murder charge by those who covet the wealth of the heiress who loves him. An extremely odd kettle of Bombay duck indeed, and very unsuitable for younger audiences. British audiences will readily recognise the wily features of Saeed Jaffrey in a supporting role.
