Here's a series that's gone to the dogs in more ways than one. In this tired second sequel, the familiar format is wearing pretty thin. Kirstie Alley and John Travolta are mom and dad again, this time saddled with a mangy mongrel (voiced by Danny DeVito) and a pampered poodle (voiced by Diane Keaton). It's left to the bickering dogs to save the day and supply all the comedy before the sugar-laden happy ending. Why didn't they leave the humans out of it altogether?
