Donald Sutherland's rumbling tones are ideally suited to the narration of a 20-year tale of triumph, hardship and danger, set in the chimps' homeland on ther shores of Lake Tanganyika. It's a disarmingly simple look at a lifestyle which soon draws you into its cycle.
