A sincerely meant, well begun, but all too soon cliché-ridden account of the true life story of a champion bull-rider in the rodeo ring. The film tries hard to make the most of a very ordinary life, but fails miserably. The actors, headed by Luke Perry and Stephen Baldwin, also do their best, but it all seems ludicrously long before the (rather abrupt) end. For all the competence of the performances, this hardly ever seems a tale that's worth the telling.
