An American tourist falls down a hole while visiting Stonehenge - and finds herself in Camelot.
Filtered through Lewis Carroll, this TV movie sat on the shelf for over two years, perhaps in the hope that Merlin's magic would improve the finished product.
But that wasn't to be. This is simply a depressing waste of a good cast: Cannon, McDowell, Bergen, Woodward, Neeson and Everett, who between them should have conjured up at least a spark, add no lustre to the lukewarm script.
Unsure of its goals, this swings from the semi-comic to the maudlin in a clumsy attempt to re-make a familiar tale, which was initially released under the title Arthur the King.
