Trite and unbalanced yarn about the tribulations of four young women - all with men problems - who are determined to make a go of life in the Nashville country music scene. If you like country, this telemovie has a high percentage of the music of the genre but it's a flimsy reward. An anti-male diatribe and very much a film for women, as the quartet have all been let down badly by the fellas in their life. The men are all portrayed as weak and repentant while the doughty foursome - Debrah Farentino, Andrea Parker, Nia Peeples and Susan Walters - are, inevitably, strong, capable and willing. They obviously haven't heard that if you play C&W records backwards, you get your man back, your truck back, your dog back...
