This nasty, sadistic, ultra-aggressive drama, originally filmed as 'Snake Eyes', was one of the first to emerge from Madonna's Maverick Film Company. She also has a featured role, though quite why she wanted to put herself through such a degrading spectacle from enfant-terrible director Abel Ferrara is anyone's guess. Basically a semi-autobiographical diatribe on Ferrara's own marriage mess, the film wallows in violence, degradation, drug-taking and self-loathing, all dressed up in a script that is liberally punctuated with four-letter words. Totally without merit - you have been warned!
