Not a film of much importance either. It's a very slight anecdote about a closeted gay Dublin bus conductor (Albert Finney) in the Sixties who entertains his passengers by reciting poems by Oscar Wilde. But the arrival of the beautiful Adele (Tara Fitzgerald) among his regular customers inspires him to put on a subversive amateur production of Wilde's Salome on at the local church hall. Finney is fine but this whimsical piece is flawed.
