Nice idea here. Good and bad angels battle for the soul of a general who could lead either of two warring sides to victory once and for all. But that soul is hidden in the body of a young girl. Gabriel is the bad angel, played by Christopher Walken with the menace only he can conjure, while Eric Stoltz is the good angel Simon. Stuck between the two is human priest-turned-cop Elias Koteas. It has great potential but doesn't quite come off, thanks largely to a budget that didn't stretch to the special effects the tale deserves and to the fact that you find yourself rooting for Walken when you should be on the side of good! Entertaining, though.
