Little-known but quirkily charming British film about Sapphic passion at the ice rink. The central duo are Steffi (Sabra Williams) and Natalie (Charlotte Avery), amateur skaters at the same London rink. Steffi is gay and determined to enter the Gay Games in New York. Natalie is a less talented skater and straight but when Steffi's doubles partner pulls out of the challenge, one thing leads to another both on and off the ice. What we get is a thoroughly likeable romantic comedy helmed by former camerawoman Fiona Cunningham Reid who also co-produced and co-wrote. Accoring to Variety the two actresses actually competed in the 1994 Gay Games and won!
