Kirk Douglas spices up this bitter-sweet 'road' movie about a terminally ill man who is determined to visit his past life and loves one last time in the company of his estranged son (Craig T Nelson). This is a moving little tale given extra chutzpah by the presence of Kirk, himself at one time involved in a difficult father-son relationship with Michael in real life.
