This film can be summed up in six words: nice idea, shame about the movie. It's the story of an early Sixties rock star who mysteriously dies in a bizarre car accident. The story of Eddie Wilson (Michael Paré) is told in flashback as TV reporter Ellen Barkin researches a documentary she wants to make on him. It's all let down by a poor script, poor editing and a colourless central performance by Paré. The film was a box office flop but the soundtrack album sold very well, so you can always shut your eyes and listen to the music.
