Kevin Bacon may not have reappeared for this tongue-in-cheek sequel to the hungry horrors that lurk under the ground, but it ends up being not a bad movie after all. Despite some cutting of corners, the film on the whole produces good special effects and plenty of laughs as Fred Ward, trigger-happy Michael Gross and Christopher Gartin agree to go to Mexico to save an oil company and eliminate the graboids (giant worms) that are terrorising the area - but for a large price. Alas, the worms are not as dumb as they used to be - they've adapted... Creepy fun.
