This poundingly exciting and visually amazing action movie is based on the popular video game, but unfortunately the makers forgot that they needed to invent a story for it. Never mind, the premise is a serviceable enough peg on which to hang the lusty action, superb special effects and thrilling production designs. Three warriors combine to fight a megalomaniac evil wizard bent on destroying civilisation as we know it. Christopher Lambert stars as 'electric god' Lord Rayden and his performance comes the nearest to a feat of acting in the entire movie. A whole lot of macho fun, especially for aggressive teenage boys.
