The spaghetti Western is back - with Sharon Stone as The Woman With No Name - complete with poncho and cheroot - this is not too different from early Clint Eastwood films. Director Sam Raimi offers up a homage to decades gone by, complete with flashbacks to the leading character's past to emphasise her motivation. Pausing only to pack several outfits into her saddlebag, Stone rides into the outlaw-ruled town of Redemption to take part in a 16-gunfighter shootout (including Leonardo DiCaprio as The Kid) in which, naturally, the last man standing takes all. The gunfights pack some excitement and Stone fans will be glad to know she sheds her duds for a hot love scene with fellow-combatant Russell Crowe, before taking on big green meanie Gene Hackman in an extra-time shootout where the only penalty is death.
