A rather disappointing thriller about a judge agreeing to take part in a sting to ensnare corrupt fellow judges. Things don't go according to plan... The central fault is the casting of Tom Selleck - hardly the most animated of actors - who never really rises to the challenge and employs the Roger Moore one-expression-fits-all technique of acting. Most of the other characters remain ciphers, despite the best efforts of such accomplished actors as Elizabeth McGovern, Marsha Mason and William Atherton to convert them to flesh and blood.
