An impressive modern remake of the classic Herman Melville novel about a whaling skipper's self-destructive obsession with hunting a giant white whale, known as Moby Dick. Patrick Stewart plays the doomed captain Ahab and Henry Thomas (the child star of ET) plays Ishmael, the sole survivor who relates the horrifying tale. With iimpressive digital effects and powerful performances from all the cast - which includes Gregory Peck (who starred in the original as captain Ahab) as Father Mapple - this is still a stirring sea saga that demands to be seen.
