A wonderful cast help this little made-for-cable comedy-Western tick along nicely. Rather like a Mel Brooks film, the plot is standard but the situations and characters daft. When 10-year-old Isaiah witnesses his family being gunned down by the evil Bloomington (James Coburn) he vows to get revenge. Years later, the adult Isaiah (Sinbad - real name David Sinbad! ) spots the now aged Bloomington and so, with the help of an old drunk - and former gunfighter - Otter Bob (Burt Reynolds), he trains himself up to take on his family's killer. But Bloomington gets wind of 'The Cherokee Kid's (as Isaiah now calls himself) plan and hires a gunfighter (Gregory Hines) of his own for a showdown. Good ol' fashioned silly fun.
