A wham-bam, Bond-style chase opens this Jackie Chan actioner. And from this frenetic beginning, the pace rarely flags. Cop Chan is sent on a special mission to recover a stolen nuclear warhead, but finds himself piggy in the middle between the CIA and the KGB. If this film, aimed more obviously at the western market, is less action-filled than most of his previous Hong Kong thrillers, there's still plenty to enjoy. It's simple and straightforward, with no side issues to slow things down. And, of course, there are Chan's own spectacular stunts. No wimp-out Hollywood star's stunt double options here. Oh no. Nothing to tax the intellect either, just fast-moving fun.
