This TV movie, in which Halle Berry causes family disharmony when she announces she is planning to marry white jazz musician Eric Thal in Fifties' Martha's Vineyard, promises much. The excellent production values, great cast and intriguing story are let down by an overdose of saccharin and cod psychology, but this flawed romantic drama is still entertaining enough. .
