Mark Feuerstein

Born: June 8 1971
Where: New York, USA

The onetime teenage champion wrestler is best known outside American TV as Toni Collette's love interest in In Her Shoes.

On home turf, he is better known as a recurring character in the TV series Loving, Caroline in the City and The West Wing.

However, critics dubbed him the "murderer of 1,000 sitcoms" when his series Conrad Bloom and Heart Department all bombed.

""I just give off this kind of feminine vibe which has... served me so well with women in my life."

Born into a family of lawyers, he landed a scholarship to London's Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts and also studied at Paris's Ecole Phillipe Gaulier.

He made his American TV debut in 1995 in The Loving and his first big screen appearance came in 1998 as Michael in Practical Magic.

He went on to star in the romantic comedy Giving It Up in 1999 and featured alongside Sharon Stone and Albert Brooks in the comedy The Muse the same year.

(he was given the nickname of Chaplin on the set of Giving It Up for his uncanny knack with physical slapstick by the writer/director Christopher Kublan.)

The following year he landed a role in the military thriller Rules of Engagement and starred opposite Penelope Cruz in Woman on Top.

When director Nancy Meyers was casting What Women Want, her daughter recognized Feuerstein from Practical Magic and insisted her mother cast him.

Subsequent appearances included Abandon and he starred alongside Collette and Cameron Diaz in the superior chick-flick In Her Shoes.
