In the steps of Flight of the Navigator and The Last Starfighter comes this sci-fi adventure, made for cable TV, which sweeps an American teenager off into an inter-galactic, inter-dimensional conflict for possession of a crystal that can unlock the secrets of Crossworld, a valley where all dimensions and time-zones converge. The idea's good enough for a bigger movie, but there are still some good action sequences, logical plot development and personable performances from an on-form Rutger Hauer (as a space mercenary), Josh Charles (the young hero), Andrea Roth and Stuart Wilson. Undemanding but imaginative, the pocket blockbuster makes easy viewing for a rainy night in.
