Not a Western this time for John Wayne. Instead, a Universal potboiler that casts him as a tough trucker called Biff Smith! Big John is our hero who gets into double trouble when (a) his trucking business takes work from another and (b) he steals the girlfriend (Louise Latimer) of the head of the railroad freight department. The end result is a race between truck and train. Wayne had already made over 60 films by this time, yet Stagecoach stardom was still two years away.
