Satisfyingly oddball and gritty crime thriller in the NYPD Blue vein, with hints of Reservoir Dogs even if it's not quite in its league. Treat Williams and Paul Schulze as estranged brothers linking up reluctantly to grab hold of their father Seymour Cassel's robbery loot, while trying to evade the long arm of the law. The movie boasts lots of assets, notably the dedicated star turns, the cracking dialogue and intelligent, pacy direction. Thriller fans who make allowances for a few story-telling wobbles, some technical deficiencies and the obviously very low budget will be well satisfied.
