Eric Lutes stars as Jim Conrad, LA Natural History Museum director of entomology, who travels to a remote area of Alaska to go salmon fishing but gets caught up in - a terrible thriller plot. Beware this truly awful action suspense movie in which the title's gigantic killer soldier ants - the deadliest the Doc has ever seen! - threaten the Doc and his fishing buddy Dallen Gettling, sheriff Mitch Pileggi, widower Jeremy Foley and schoolmarm Julia Campbell. These little blighters (that's the ants) can even link their arms together into a net that they can drop over their prey. Hilariously bad, it makes The Swarm seem like the original Them!
