Spikily attractive Téa Leoni stars in this Cinderella-style romantic comedy set in New York. She's Gina Nardino, an ordinary girl who has a crush on handsome Sinclair (David Beecroft), a wealthy businessman. But will he ever notice her? Well, we wouldn't have a romance if he didn't, but first of all she must be transformed. So what more convenient device than a department store fashion show? Scruffy cygnet becomes elegant swan, so everything can just end happily after. This is a fluffy, frothy piece with personable portrayals from both Leoni and Beecroft. You can sit back and relax in front of it, even if you remember little about it 24 hours later. Leoni later moved on to stardom opposite Will Smith in Bad Boys - and married David Duchovny into the bargain!
