Two cheers for a pretty nifty, black comedy-thriller that gives gainful employment to half-a-dozen goodish star players, and comes up with one real surprise.
It's Don Johnson who gives the show's standout turn, as a slimy businessman enjoying an affair with a sexy woman (Patricia Arquette), who happens to be the wife of his younger brother and partner (Dermot Mulroney).
Suddenly the race is on to collect Johnson's $4million insurance policy, with his colleague Mary-Louise Parker being one of only several characters with a likely scam.
If this slick and twisty movie doesn't quite hit the bull's-eye, it still gets on to the target, with enough shock moments and entertaining scenes to leap over a few script and acting hurdles.
