'I know, let's sit and watch a film tonight. Anything decent on? ' 'Well there's this one about a girl who likes having sex with corpses... ' Yes really, Kissed is the story of Sandra (Molly Parker) whose sexual preferences are for those who don't answer back. Doesn't sound like a great idea for a fun-filled movie. In fairness, debut director Lynne Stopkewich hasn't sensationalised the subject matter (sensational enough already, one would have thought) and the script leavens its heavy subject with occasional flashes of black humour. But there's no escaping the central theme. Fans of oddities (and, one assumes, necrophiliacs) may find this of interest, everyone else might hit the remote, looking for something a bit brighter.
