In this passionate melodrama about some of the steamier things in life - love, lust and betrayal - thirtysomething Nina (Lawrence: the late Mrs Sipowicz from NYPD Blue) begins a destructive affair with a hunky American high-school senior, Paul (Brian Austin Green), the son of her best friend Abby (Kozak).

Unexpectedly, this sensual story is handled quite delicately and intelligently, and the trio of star performances are remarkable in their shaded subtlety and careful credibility.

The painstakingly directed, handsome-looking production is way above average for its TV movie type, and a film that could have been murky turns out a little winner.
