Australian director Michael Rymer started off his life behind the lens in 1995 with Angel Baby, a love story that brought him some recognition in the industry.

His next project was Alli & Me, another romantic comedy, and in 1999 he took the reins of In Too Deep, starring LL Cool J and Stanley Tucci - an altogether heavier piece of work.

In 2002 Michael became the last person to direct the late Aliyah on a full film. She starred in the gothic horror Queen Of The Damned before her untimely death in a plane crash.
