Action thriller by-the-numbers from director Barbet (Single White Female) Schroeder, starring Andy Garcia as a widowed cop whose nine-year-old son (Joseph Cross) is critically ill with leukemia and Michael Keaton as the jailed Hannibal Lecter-style killer with compatible bone marrow who has agreed to save the boy's life. The clichéd, paper-thin plot is low on credibility as Garcia takes desperate measures to save his son once Keaton (and his bone marrow) escapes from the operating table. The redemption of Keaton, in the end, followed by another twist, is even more ridiculous than the rest of the story.
