This glossy true story of the most successful bank robbers in US history drips with Twenties Western atmosphere. And it's chock-full of young Hollywood stars ­ Matthew McConaughey, Ethan Hawke, Skeet Ulrich and Vincent D'Onofrio as the bank-robbing brothers, with E. R.' s Julianna Margulies as McConaughey's girlfriend. But it's a cold and uninvolving production, although peppered with light comic moments. Still, the facts are fascinating, and the film includes real footage of two of the octogenarian ex-robbers.
