Action hero Mark Dacascos plays an ex-special services agent in this fast, furious, and often violent action thriller. After botching a hostage rescue attempt and then being sacked as a bodyguard when his boss is assassinated, Bishop (Dacascos) teams up with a female FBI agent (Carrie-Anne Moss, the girl from The Matrix) in his determination to track down the killer. Imagine his (but not our) surprise when the assassin turns out to have also been the head of the terrorist group who killed all those hostages he was trying to rescue years earlier. The tangled plot has been compared to a game of chess: and, to give it its due, it is intriguing, complex and at times deadly.
