This historical drama covers the period of time leading up to the death of Abraham Lincoln (Lance Henriksen). Following very closely to the book of the same name by Jim Bishop it gives a gripping and highly entertaining, without deviating from the facts, account of the President's assassination by John Wilkes Booth (Rob Morrow). Henriksen gives a memorable and suitably gruff portrayal of the 16th president, but Morrow's performance is more akin to a 'Batman' villain. This aside though, the film is still highly charged and very captivating.
