A treat for Woody Allen fans, this candid and honest documentary follows the nervous New Yorker and his band as they tour Europe playing New Orleans jazz with 'the notorious' Soon-Yi Previn, as his refers to his post-Mia Farrow partner. Allen plays up his neuroticism with some wonderful quips (after a head cold in London he worries that if he plays badly 'These people will hate me in my own language'). But what mainly comes across here is that he is a passionate clarinettist and a true wit. The ending, in which Woody has 'the lunch from hell' (his words) with his parents is hilarious and full of insight.
