Robin Williams plays a robot in 2005 who comes to serve clockmaker Sam Neill's family and, over the next 200 years, becomes almost human, quickly showing traits of enjoyment and creativity. Though it's way overlong and sentimental, the film is often amusing and contains flashes of Williams at his best. Adapted from Isaac Asimov's I, Robot, which also provided the source material for the Will Smith movie.
