A spottily funny action comedy spoof, with the right man for the star job in the ever genial Leslie Nielsen as a famous violinist who sets out to find the real culprit after he becomes the prime suspect in the murder inquiry of his would-be lover's husband. With Richard Crenna as the tireless US marshal on his trail, the script obviously has The Fugitive in its sights, and that's fine, but with invention flagging after a while on that front, jokes about other movies like Titanic and North by Northwest are imported to flesh out the flabby idea. All in all, though, it's surprisingly amiable, likeable and amusing - and a good vehicle for Nielsen.
