Amusement park entrepreneur Steven Price (Rush) invites several strangers to his wife's (Janessen) birthday party, held in the abandoned Vannacutt Institute for the Mentally Insane.
The Institute was once the site of the most horrifying medical experiments in history, conducted by the late and deranged Dr. Vannacutt.
There he offers a diverse group of strangers $1 million each to thoses who can spend the entire night in the so-called haunted house.
They figure it's a sure-fire way to get rich quick. But the spooks intend to make them earn their money the hard way, and Price has his own tricks in store to keep their hands off the million.
It's going to be a long night!
A spine-tingling remake of William Castle's 1958 classic horror tale. House on Haunted Hill combines white-knuckle terror with dark humour and cutting-edge special effects.
It offers suspense, scares, creepiness, laughs and a few surprises. If you like your gore by the bathfull and your victims shrieking all the way to the end, then you'll love William Malone's remake.
