Halle Berry stars as one of the alleged three wives of deceased singer Frankie Lymon (Larenz Tate, recently in Crash), all squabbling over the rights to his estate. The other two are Lela Rochon and Vivica A Fox. In 1956, Lymon had a rock 'n'roll hit single at the age of 13, viz the film's title, but it was a downhill slide from fame and fortune after that. This could have been a good tale if it had been better told, but is just not that convincing. Look out for a brief appearance by Little Richard, as himself.
