This high-spirited, high speed Jackie Chan adventure, released in the same year as Rush Hour, is typical of his Hong Kong movies - a simple, straightforward plot, lots of impressive stunts, a dash of humour and no one for Chan to share top billing with. In this adventure, Jackie plays an agent who loses his memory after being dropped from a helicopter by his double-crossing superior. Lost in the middle of the African wilderness, Chan is adopted by a tribe, but soon wants to know who he really is. Poor Jackie is pursued halfway around the world by baddies wanting to rub him out, ending with a vertigo-inducing climax in Rotterdam. There are no complicated side issues to tax the brain here, just lots of enjoyable action, mixed with Chan's usual eye-popping stunts. Don't try any of them at home!
